Why This System Exists
This institution was born from clarity, not tragedy.
My older brother Frank was born with muscular dystrophy — a form believed to be virally induced. Physicians told our family he would not live past the age of 18.
They were wrong.
Frank lived for 62 years.
He did not allow a diagnosis to define his identity, capacity, or contribution. He developed his talents, served others consistently, and used what he had to edify those around him.
Frank did not die from muscular dystrophy.
He died from complications related to intubation while being treated for COVID. During his hospitalization, family access was restricted — even as I continued to work daily with COVID patients in my professional role without consequence.
His death did not expose a lack of faith, effort, or care.
It exposed something more consequential:
When systems are overwhelmed, decisions fragment.
When decisions fragment, outcomes suffer — even for those who have done everything “right.”
The Medical Paraclete™ exists to address that failure — not with inspiration, but with structure.
What “Paraclete” Means Here
Paraclete means advocate — one who clarifies, orders, and stands in truth.
This work does not rescue, replace agency, or bypass discernment.
It restores the conditions in which discernment can function.
